So I got up at 4:30 am to catch a 7:00 flight back home to NYC. I had a great break! That night I saw my hero, Stephanie J Block, in WICKED and she was incredible. She is the nicest person you will ever meet in your entire life. Even though she was in a rush she was incredibly gracious. I feel so lucky to have see her perform live. The next day I had a doctor's appointment and the doctor made me wait for like an hour before he saw me--it sucked. That night very randomly I decided to enter myself in the IN THE HEIGHTS lottery not expecting to win at all but lo and behold my name was the third one called! It was like the theatre gods knew how fuc*ing badly I wanted to see this show. As I was killing time before the show started I was in Starbucks sitting on a heater when who do I see but Tituss Burgess (of JERSEY BOYS and now LITTLE MERMAID fame). Cast Elphaba--My hero aka Stephanie J Block G(a)linda- Annaleigh Ashford Fiyero- David Burnham Boq-Ben Liebert Nessarose-Cristy Candler Wizard-Lenny Wolpe Madame Morrible- Miriam Margolyes NOMTW- I was so excited to hear those first few bars of the song and the monkeys! The ensemble rocked this song! Even on the cast recording I get chills went they sing, the "No one Mourns the Wicked" as Glinda sings the really high notes and it was no exception last night. I loved her "Well this has been fun" and her faces after she's asked if she and Elphaba were friends. She also got like no entrance applause except for me. The audience was pretty dead last night. Dear Old Shiz- I was one of maybe 3 or 4 people that clapped for Stephanie's entrance. Annaleigh made a great face when she sees Stephanie for the first time like "What/who is that" and she kind of turned away. So I have my first track meet on Saturday :-/. I'm really nervous since I haven't thrown competitvely in like two years. In other news my roommate will be out by tomorrow. I'm happy and a little sad at the same time.

I can't believe Heath Ledger is dead. I loved him. His performance in "Brokeback Mountain" was pretty incredible and "10 things I hate about you" is one of my favorite movies of all time. I still can't quite comprehend it. He had such a bright future in front of him. He seriously was one of my favorites. My heart goes out to Matilda and other loved ones.
